Join ROMY PHILLIPS and ZIYA ALTUG in a fact filled, collaborative series of workshops that feature the therapeutic qualities of yoga and emphasizes the connection to Western health disciplines. Anatomy and kiniseology will be highlighted as participants explore yoga asanas appropriate for common injuries and conditions. This workshop is ideal for instructors and students who wish to gain more knowledge to use in a classroom setting or with individuals; and for practitioners who wish to gain a deeper awareness and understanding of their bodies. ROMY PHILLIPS (MFA, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT) is a certified yoga instructor who has been teaching since 2001. In addition to workshops and retreats, she leads 200Hr and 300Hr teacher trainings for Yoga Works in Japan and China. Romy has a developed a 30Hr yoga therapy intensive that will be held for the second time in Tokyo this February. She is the owner and founder of Yogathology.
Z ALTUG (PT, DPT, MS, CSCS) is a licensed physical therapist and performance specialist with more than 25 years of experience in his field. Z worked at the UCLA Medical Center outpatient rehabilitation department for 12 years as a physical therapist and now works as a private consultant.
